Pablo Laso started his stint with Anadolu Efes with a defeat in overtime

Even tough ithere was a new coach, Anadolu Efes couldn’t prevent the fifth defeat in a row in BSL.

Fenerbahce won the Turkish derby 97-94, meaning that Pablo Laso started with a loss as head coach of Anadolu Efes.

With this result, Fenerbahce Beko improves their record to 10-1, while Anadolu Efes drops to 6-5.

Sehmus Hazer had an amazing game with 31 points, but it wasn’t enough for the away team.

Tarık Biberovic scored 22 points, Devon Hall recorded 21 points and 4 assists, and Nicolo Melli added 16 points and 4 rebounds, as all three finished in double figures for Fenerbahce.

For Anadolu Efes, Şehmus Hazer set a new career high with 31 points, while Nick Weiler-Babb posted 16 points and 6 assists, and Isaia Cordinier contributed 11 points and 5 assists.

Despite falling behind by double digits, Anadolu Efes managed to level the game in the second half.

In the final quarter, Fenerbahçe Beko had difficulty scoring, while Anadolu Efes picked up the pace led by Şehmus Hazer.

With Anadolu Efes coming up empty on the final possession, regulation ended tied at 83–83, sending the game into overtime as Vincent Poirier couldn’t score in the last play of regulation.

In overtime, Fenerbahçe Beko took control under the leadership of Nicolo Melli and went on to win the game 97–94.
