Fenerbahçe suffered a big loss in the Turkish BSL league, as coach Saras Jasikevicius’ team was defeated by 26 points in their visit to Trabzon.
Melih Mahmutoglou (12 p.) and Metecan Birsen (12 p.) were the top scorers for the current Euroleague champion. Marquise Reed had a huge game for the hosts with 36 points.
It was a close first half in Trabzon with Fenerbahçe trying to increase the pace, but the local team fought back before the break getting an eight-point advantage (53-45).
Trabzonspor stepped up in the third quarter (22-11) and everything was easy after that.
The top of the standings belongs to Besiktas, which prevailed over Tofas by one point.
