The excitement of the Turkish Insurance Basketball Super League playoffs continued tonight with the only game on the schedule as Bahçeşehir Koleji hosted Beşiktaş GAİN in Game 3 of the semifinal series.
In a fiercely contested matchup from start to finish, Bahçeşehir secured a 98-95 overtime victory behind an outstanding performance from Malachi Flynn.
With this result, Bahçeşehir Koleji took a 2-1 lead in the series and maintained home-court advantage. Game 4 will be played on Monday, June 8, once again at Bahçeşehir Koleji’s home court. The first team to reach three wins in the series will advance to the finals.
Flynn led Bahçeşehir with 27 points and 4 assists, while Hunter Hale added 19 points, 3 rebounds, and 5 assists. Furkan Haltalı contributed 10 points and 5 rebounds, Trevion Williams recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds, and Tyler Cavanaugh finished with 8 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 assists.
For Beşiktaş GAİN, Jonah Mathews scored 18 points with 2 rebounds and 3 assists, Berk Uğurlu added 16 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists, Conor Morgan posted 15 points and 6 rebounds, and Brynton Lemar finished with 16 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists. Bahçeşehir ultimately emerged victorious after an intense overtime battle and moved one win away from reaching the championship series.
