Fenerbahce claimed their first trophy of the season by defeating Besiktas 72–59 in the Turkish Super Cup final, in a clash between two EuroLeague teams.
Last season, Fenerbahce won all three trophies in Turkey, and they defeated Besiktas in all three finals. They continued this streak by overcoming Dusan Alimpijevic’s team this year as well.
Wade Baldwin led Fenerbahce to victory with 13 points and six assists, Braxton Key contributed 11 points and seven rebounds, while Will Clyburn and Shavon Shields each scored eight points. For Besiktas, new addition Jaylen Nowell was the top scorer with 13 points, and Devon Dotson added nine.
From the start, Fenerbahce maintained a large lead, and by halftime, the 2025 EuroLeague champions were ahead by 19 points (46-27). Besiktas managed to reduce the deficit, narrowing it to just eight points in the final quarter (60-52), but Fenerbahce maintained their lead to secure the trophy.
Both teams will begin their EuroLeague campaigns on Friday. Fenerbahce will host Virtus Bologna in Istanbul, while Besiktas will play Valencia on their home court.
