Anadolu Efes stays first after rout of Buyukcekmece on the road

A dynamic defensive performance helped Efes cruise past Buyukcekmece and remain at the top of the Turkish league standings, tied with Fenerbahce.

Anadolu Efes reacted in style after the EuroLeague upset in the hands of Brose Bamberg by blowing away Buyukcekmece 79 – 52 away from home.

Coach Perasovic‘s big guys got most of the job done with Derrick Brown scoring 16 points, Bryant Dunston adding 14 plus 5 rebounds and Alex Kirk 12 along with two blocks.

Tyler Honeycutt controlled the boards collecting 10 and Maxim Mutaf added 10 points, as Efes improved its record to 19 – 2, the same as Fenerbahce.

Buyukcekmece suffered defeat no. 15 in the season and is 13th in the table together with Usak Sportif. Angelo Caloaro had 14 points, Erick Buckner 11 plus 7 rebounds and Kenneth Hays 11 points as well.
