Luigi Datome went down with a head injury and a temporary memory loss at Game 5 against Anadolu Efes in the Turkish League finals and as Eurohoops revealed on Monday night, he was transferred to the hospital via the Fenerbahce staff by car.
The reason for this “intervention” by Fenerbahce was that the ambulance staff at the arena refused to leave, as it “wasn’t permitted” to do so.
Following these events and respective announcements by Anadolu Efes and Fenerbahce, the Turkish Basketball Federation steps in to initiate the investigation of the case, as stated Tuesday.
