Giannis Antetokounmpo has been leading the All-Stars with the highest points average in history while he’s close to reaching some of the European bigs that showed up for the prestige game more times than him

The 2021 NBA All-Star game is around the corner and six Europeans will represent the Old Continent in it – Giannis Antetokounmpo, Nikola Jokic, Luka Doncic, Rudy Gobert, Domantas Sabonis, and Nikola Vucevic.

Five of them have been picked up by LeBron James for his team while Vucevic will be the sole European on Kevin Durant’s team.

Giannis was the first pick in the All-Star Draft and it shouldn’t surprise as in his four appearances so far, the Greek Freak averaged 27.2 points which is the highest average in the history of the game.

He’s leading the charts in front of Durant (25), LeBron James (24.1), Russel Westbrook (21.6), Paul George (20.7), and Anthony Davis (20.5) who did all log more games than him so far.

When it comes to Europeans, none have the average stat line even close to Giannis’s and judging by so far, the Bucks star has taken the All-Star seriously and will in all likelihood continue to show up and produce big performances for the fans.

This will be his fifth (straight) appearance as he chases Tony Parker and Pau Gasol who had six each while Dirk Nowitzki remains by far the European with the biggest number of All-Star games with 14.

In fact, there are only four players on the list with more appearances than Nowitzki with LeBron James being the only active one. Doncic, Sabonis, Gobert, and Vucevic will all log their second appearances while Jokic is on for this third.
