The power-forwards are the great sensation at the start of the season in EuroLeague… and Biwenger!

The season is going very well for Eurohoops in their private league. With more than 1,100 players fighting in our competition, we are established at the 13th position of the standings after four rounds.

The key so far has been our keen eye for discovering well-priced players who have outstanding performances (something we’ll keep doing this week). Actually, the most surprising is we have 5 million left on the bank after completing a balanced team with a lot of quality.

LUKE SIKMA, ALBA’S GERMAN RELIABILITY

We started the season trusting Luke Sikma as our 6th Man and we only cut him when we decided to take advantage of “ASVEL momentum”. Now, he will return to our team as a member of the starting five thanks to his reliability.

Sikma has been the player with the highest-ranking in Biwenger after the first four rounds and made us change our formation (1-3-1) for the first time this season. It is no coincidence since power-forwards are dominating the start of the season: Toko Shengelia (injured), Nikola Mirotic (72 million), Sikma (32 million), Oscar Da Silva (7 million), Johannes Voigtmann (52M ), Guerschon Yabusele (35M), Donta Hall (22M) and Sasha Vezenkov (47M) are among the 15 most valued players so far in EuroLeague, so anyone is actually a good choice.

THERE’S A NEW GUY IN TOWN

For the first time since the start of the season, there will be no ASVEL players on our team. They will be back soon, for sure, but their road game in Milan, against the best team in EuroLeague so far, forces us to act with caution.

During Matchday 4, three players could make their EuroLeague debut. Kenneth Faried (33M) arrived at the competition being in the spotlight, Elijah Bryant (22M) signed with Anadolu Efes after a short NBA adventure while Yogi Ferrell is Panathianikos’ great hope.

Among the three players, the point guard is the one who needs to make the biggest impact as soon as possible, so we can expect him to take responsibility during the game in Tel Aviv. For just 22 million, it’s worth the risk.
