Due to the lack of courts, gyms, and coaches available during the summer, most international players don’t have the opportunity to take their game to the next level. To increase the level of playing in the basketball community worldwide and help athletes prepare in the off season, TrenchWork Sports is running events all over the world, integrating national and international coaches and athletes at each event. This summer, TrenchWork Sports’ elite training know-how is coming for the first time in Athens, Greece.
TrenchWork Sports offers basketball players a way to train in Europe during the off-season, giving players access to top coaches from both the NBA and European leagues, top-notch facilities, and excellent recovery resources. Helping professional and young up and coming players improve by bringing together the best practices from Europe and America. This starts with their first camp in Athens, Greece. TrenchWork Sports will help athletes reach their full potential, improve basketball internationally, and have a positive impact on local communities.

THE “TRENCHES” CAMP
THE TRENCHES, TrenchWork Sports’ basketball training camp will take place in two sessions from July 24th to August 4th at the Arena of Peace & Friendship Stadium, Athens, Greece.
The daily program will include 8 hours of personalized skill workouts with NBA and EuroLeague elite skills trainers and coaches from NBA & European teams.
In charge of the coaching team of THE TRENCHES in Athens:

- Phil Handy, assistant coach of the Los Angeles Lakers.
- Mike Kalavros, Coach and player development for Olympiacos.
- Rico Hines, Assistant coach of the Toronto Raptors and creator of the legendary Rico Hines Runs at UCLA in the summer.
- Giorgos Sigalas, Aris BC Coach
- Chris Hines, the player development coach for the Minnesota Timberwolves.
- David Vanterpool, experienced in the EuroLeague and the NBA.
- AJ Diggs, New Orleans Pelicans Player Dev. Trainer.
- Charalampos Karaiskos, PAOK assistant coach.
- Oliver Lafayette, the two-times EuroCup champion.
- Kyle Hines, 4-time Euroleague champion and All-decade euroleague team recipient.
There will also be special guest European coaches training athletes for this camp, but those names will be revealed at a later date.
COACHING CLINIC
TrenchWork Sports is incredibly excited to bring you a rare access to NBA professional coaches who will share the game’s most important concepts in this one-of-a-kind 1 day clinic. We have an opportunity for you to learn coaching skills from world-renowned, Championship winning coach Phil Handy! Phil has extensive experience working with LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Kawhi Leonard, Kyrie Irving, Anthony Davis & many more NBA superstars. This clinic will focus on the art of coaching guards, wings & bigs in quality individual skill development & much more.
