Considering our options for Round 29 of the 2024-25 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season, we could not avoid taking a closer look on the headliner of the schedule, a clash of Olympiacos and Panathinaikos Aktor in the Peace and Friendship Stadium on Friday.
Coming out of a successful EuroLeague Fantasy week, behind our tips regarding Wade Baldwin IV and Nikola Milutinov, we intend to follow a similar path this week.
In addition to Sasha Vezenkov and Kendrick Nunn among our constants throughout the season, we will also keep Milutinov and Juancho Hernangomez, heading to the next edition of the derby of the eternal enemies in Greece.
- The Serbian center of Olympiacos has been on a roll. There is no reason to remove him from our Fantasy squad.
- The Spanish forward of Panathinaikos has been in our picks for several weeks. He emerged among the top Fantasy players since Mathias Lessort was placed on the injury list.
We will not select one of the head coaches, Giorgos Bartzokas or Ergin Ataman, due to the unpredictability of the derby.
Digging deeper, we meet Jerian Grant and will pick up the 32-year-old combo guard of the Greens for two main reasons.
- He is the most reliable player of his side in the meetings with the Reds and usually logs significant playing time since Ataman uses him across several defensive assignments.
- Tagged at 9.9 Fantasy units, he is a good fit in our budget and our squad.
