Before the decisive stretch of the EuroLeague regular season and the upcoming FIBA World Cup qualifying window, teams across Europe will turn their attention to domestic cup competitions.
Lifting a trophy in February can represent a major achievement and provide a significant boost ahead of the most crucial battles of the season, which is why these tournaments carry great importance for every contender.
Last year brought plenty of surprises, with several EuroLeague teams finishing empty-handed, giving them even greater motivation to go all the way this time around.
In any case, an exciting week lies ahead, as some competitions have already begun and progressed to the semifinals — or even the finals, as is the case in Israel.
Turkish Cup
Defending champions Fenerbahce already booked a semifinal spot by defeating Erokspor 83–76 and will face Turk Telekom, who crushed Trabzon 100–77.
On the other side of the bracket, Besiktas meets Tofas, with the winner advancing to face either Bahcesehir Koleji or Anadolu Efes.
