Eurohoops is gearing up for Round 8 of the 2026–27 EuroLeague Regular Season and EuroLeague Fantasy

By Dimitris Minaretzis/ info@eurohoops.net

Last week, we suggested keeping an eye on Virtus Bologna’s Aliou Diarra and Anadolu Efes’ Collin Malcolm. Both were, and still are, budget-friendly, highly efficient options, and both delivered, returning 22 and 12.1 EuroLeague Fantasy points, respectively.

The Virtus center was particularly impressive. Malcolm had an incredible first half but faded down the stretch. Unfortunately, there is no ‘cash out’ option to lock in those early gains.

For Round 8 of the 2026–27 EuroLeague Regular Season, the first half of yet another double-round week, we are investing a significant chunk of change in Panathinaikos Aktor’s Sylvain Francisco.

The French star is priced at 15.1 credits. Luckily, we have built up a solid bankroll thanks to earlier budget enablers we recommended in the opening weeks, such as Yam Madar, Diarra, and Alberto Abalde.

Francisco is currently averaging 16.7 points in Fantasy. While that average might seem a bit low for his current price tag, we expect and hope for an imminent breakout performance.

Admittedly, Panathinaikos assets have been tough to navigate this season. This makes sense given the team’s bottomless roster depth and heavily shared responsibilities. Outside of Mathias Lessort, who remains their absolute model of consistency, it is always a guessing game as to who will step up on any given night.

So, why trigger the transfer for Francisco now? It is certainly a gamble, but we believe he is primed for a massive game following a relatively quiet fantasy outing against Kosner Baskonia with a performance index rating of 12. In that matchup, he still managed a double-double with 10 points and 11 assists, but his value was held back by poor shooting efficiency of 4-of-10.
