The teams’ commitments for 2017 in the EuroLeague have been completed and Eurohoops presents – with the aid of a table – the win percentages of all nineteen teams that took part in the competition in its new format.

A year full of action, adrenaline and plenty of basketball in the top club competition in Europe has come to an end. The 19 participants competed in a total of 259 games within a calendar year, taking into account the second half of the 2016-2017 season and the start of the 2017-2018 season. Of those, 240 were games of the regular season, 15 were playoff clashes, and four of them were for the Final Four in Istanbul where Fenerbahce prevailed, winning the title for the first time in their history.

Eurohoops collected the overall records (W-L) of all the teams that played in the EuroLeague in 2017 and presents their ranking based on their win percentage. There are many footnotes, since the participants competed in a different number of games, while only 13 of them played in both seasons “hosted” by the year that just came to a close.

Despite this, it is of particular interest to see which team would win this unofficial title or which team would have the ultimate home court advantage in the playoffs if we assume that this ranking was for a regular season, even if the same standards don’t apply to all the teams.

CSKA dominate with the most wins, a record of games played for Olympiacos

The Russian superpower, CSKA Moscow, dominate based on the table below, as they have the highest win percentage, while they also have the most victories and fewer defeats than any other team in 2017. They are followed by Real Madrid and the reigning European champions, Fenerbahce. The top four is rounded off by the finalists, Olympiacos, who played more games than any other organization in this period.

Overall, six teams have a win record of 60% or more, nine have a positive or equal sign between their wins and losses, while the worst record belongs to Unics Kazan.

If these rankings produced the top eight who would then go against each other in a quarterfinal stage, then we’d have a Greek “civil war” between Olympiacos and Panathinaikos, while the rest of the pairs would have been CSKA Moscow-Darussafaka, Real Madrid-Khimki and a clash between coaches Obradovic and Jasikevicius, or else, Fenerbahce-Zalgiris Kaunas. If nothing else, it looks like it would have been tremendously interesting.
