All of the championships in Europe are in the playoff stage and Eurohoops searched and found which country the most powerful home courts are located in and where the most away wins occur based on the results of the whole season.

The atmosphere in the arenas of Greece and Turkey are more “noisy” (to say the least) in comparison to any other country, but the home teams in these two countries do not have the highest percentage of success playing in front of their fans!

The country in which the home court counts the most is Spain, where the home teams win by 67,7%! Then comes Greece, followed by Italy! Next, at a distance, comes Turkey, where almost 60% of home teams won in this year’s season. In Germany the home court is “decisive” in 58,5% of games!

The most impressive point however is that in France the home team has a minor advantage, since only 54,8% of those playing at home win. Of course, the competitiveness of the league plays a very important role. It’s not a coincidence that in that league there are no traditional powerhouses and that each year a different team emerges as the champion.

League Home Wins Away Wins
Spain 67,7% 32,3%
Greece 63,5% 36,5%
Italy 63,2% 36,8%
Turkey 59,5% 40,5%
Germany 58,5% 41,5%
France 54,8% 45,2%
