European basketball is currently in its golden age, producing talent that dominates the NBA and continues to rise.
There’s no greater testament to that than the EuroBasket gathering, which now has a four-year cycle and makes the tournament even more valuable.
Victor Wembanyama and Domantas Sabonis are missing, still the presence of Nikola Jokic, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Luka Doncic is more than enough to give the tournament a unique prestige.
There’s no other continental competition that has so many big names, so many NBA players, and also the top EuroLeague stars gathered to play basketball.
That’s why the Eurobasket is simply a can’t-miss tournament for any basketball fan around the world.
It’s safe to say that the global basketball audience will tune in for the upcoming games, and even casual viewers will focus on the stars who are currently some of the hottest names in the sport.
And since the US NBA stars are still snubbing the revamped AmeriCup, which is the Eurobasket equivalent, there’s no other tournament that comes close to the prestige of the games that will be played in Cyprus, Poland, Finland, and Latvia.
One year ago, the whole planet tuned in for the Olympics and still remembers Jokic, Wemby, and of course Steph Curry.
This year, Eurobasket 2025 is the closest thing to watch compared to the Paris Games.
