Shabazz Napier was on fire as he led Zenit to the VTB SuperCup Final where they will face CSKA

The first-ever VTB United League SuperCup has tipped off and the first clash was already a treat for the fans. Two EuroLeague teams in Zenit Saint Petersburg and UNICS Kazan went at it as the former grabbed an 83-76 win.

Their recent addition Shabazz Napier, who has moved to Europe after six years in the NBA, completely took over the game with 33 points on 8-11 shooting including 6-8 from deep. He also dished out four assists during the 30 minutes on the floor.

Jordan Mickey followed him with 13 and Billy Baron with 11 points. For Unics, Mario Hezonja scored 22 points while John Brown and Isaiah Canaan added 12 each.

Later in the evening, CSKA Moscow put on a convincing display for a 91-78 win and will face Zenit in the Final while Unics will fight for the third spot with Lokomotiv.

Marius Grigonis scored 16 points in 20 minutes on 3-4 from deep while Alexey Shved had 14 and Nikola Milutinov 12 points. On the losing side, Errick McCollum scored 20 (4-4 threes) and Jonathan Motley 18 points.
