In the meantime, CSKA has its worst losing streak in 20 years.

Isaiah Canaan and Mario Hezonja combined for two-thirds of their team’s points as Unics Kazan beat CSKA Moscow 69 – 64 to improve its VTB record to a league-best 5-1.

Canaan had 25 points and Hezonja scored 21 to lead their team’s offense. Unics closed the game with a 6 – 0 run in the last three minutes to take the win after trailing in the vast majority of the game.

The only good news for CSKA is that Tornike Shengelia and Nikola Milutinov returned to action after being sidelined with injuries. Their comeback wasn’t combined with a victory though since CSKA suffered its fifth loss in a row.

The last time this happened was in 2000-01 per Artem Komarov.

Iffe Lundberg and Will Clyburn dropped 15 points apiece for CSKA. Shengelia had 11 points and seven rebounds.
