Errick McCollum scored 30 points and Jaylen Barford had 20 to lead Lokomotiv Kuban to a grand comeback victory in overtime over UNICS Kazan, 101-94.
Johnathan Motley posted a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds, while Andrei Martiuk and Aleksandr Shcherbenev also added 12 points apiece for Lokomotiv which won its third consecutive game to improve to an 8-6 record in the VTB League standings.
UNICS took a 52-47 lead at halftime after pouring 30 points in the second quarter, though Lokomotiv managed to turn things around in the second half. O.J. Mayo tied the score at 85 points with 11 seconds remaining, forcing the extra-five minute period, where the hosts imposed their pace to secure the victory.
Mayo, Mario Hezonja and Tonye Jekiri all scored 17 points for UNICS, and veteran Andrey Vorontsevich had 14 points. Velimir Perasovic‘s squad suffered its second consecutive defeat this week to drop to a 14-4 record and the second place of the standings.
