Khimki’s victory over Vita will be easily forgotten, since the team from Moscow obliterated its opponents 108-52. But it will be remembered for one specific thing.
With this win, coach Rimas Kurtinaitis became the first coach in VTB League to win 100 games. The Lithuanian coach has been working for VTB League teams since 2010 with VEF Riga. In the next season he went to Khimki where he is still at the helm of the Russian club.
