Two teams started the VTB League season looking as the strongest and most competitive, ready to make noise: CSKA Moscow and Zenit Saint Petersburg.
Ultimately, these two were the ones battling it out for the title, and CSKA came out on top with a 3-0 sweep in the VTB League Finals. Being victorious both at home and away, they won 96-73 in Game 3.
Melo Trimble was named VTB League Finals MVP and scored 20 points in the latest clash. Amath Mbaye (19 points and 6 rebounds) and Casper Ware (16 points) followed him.
Aleksa Avramovic, who’s returning to the EuroLeague with Dubai, was scoreless in Game 3.
On the losing side, coached by Xavi Pascual, Trent Frazier (17 points and 6 assists) and Dwayne Bacon (16 points and 5 rebounds were among the best ones.
