CSKA Moscow defeated Crvena Zvezda 89 – 67 in the first semifinal of the 2025 VTB League SuperCup that is held in Belgrade, Serbia.
Melo Trimble scored 19 points for CSKA while Livio Jean-Charles added 16 points and seven rebounds. Ivan Ukhov contributed 14 points, six rebounds plus three steals and Casper Ware dropped 14 points.
Tyson Carter (12 points) was the only player in double figures from Crvena Zvezda.
CSKA had a 30 – 19 entrance in the game and it took Zvezda quite some time to recover when Chima Moneke tied the score at 47 halfway through the third quarter. The Russian side pulled away to close the period up 55 – 64 and then increased its lead to turn the game into a rout.
The other finalist will emerge from the semifinal between Dubai BC and Zenit St. Petersburg.
