Khimki got the 82-79 win but it was not easy at all. With 25 seconds left on the clock, Nizhny Novgorod’s Dmitrii Uzinskii lost the change to tie the game, making one of two free throws (78-77).

Alexey Shved answered with two free throws (80-77), Uzinskii missed a crucial three and James Anderson with two more three throws (82-77) sealed the deal. With three seconds left Vladimir Veremeenko beat the buzzer for the last bucket of the game, but nothing could change for Nizhny Novgorod.

Shved finished the game with 26 points, Stefan Markovic added 18 and Anderson had 14. Stevan Jelovac with 22 points and eight rebounds was the best player of the hosts.

Khimki now has a 9-7 record and the fifth spot in the VTB United League standings, while Nizhny Novgorod dropped to 4-10.
