In a clash between two VTB League powerhouses, Lokomotiv Kuban triumphed over Khimki Moscow on the road 90 – 83 in a manner much-much easier than what the final score implies.

The winning squad was even up by 29 points, 51-80 at the beginning of the fourth quarter, before Khimki rallied to begin chewing more and more pieces of the deficit until making it a 6-point game, 89 – 83 with 16 seconds remaining, following consecutive Loko turnovers.

Dmitry Khvostov scored 1/2 from the line in the next play and this three-possession advantage was enough for Lokomotiv to leave the court with a road win that improved their record to 17-6 and sealed them the third position in the regular season standings.

Meanwhile, Khimki fell to 12-11 and remained sixth.

Chris Babb dropped a team-high 22 points for Loko, Joe Ragland added 18 points while Frank Elegar had a double-double of 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Alexey Shved finished with 25 points and Tyler Honeycutt posted 15 points and six rebounds for Khimki.
