Enisey Krasnoyarsk tipped off the 2019-20 VTB United League regular season with a win over CSKA Moscow, but was no match for Khimki Moscow Region on Sunday. Rimas Kurtinaitis’ team controlled the match throughout the 40 minutes and eventually prevailed, 106-86.
Jeremy Evans went for 18 points, also grabbed 9 rebounds leading his side to the 3-0 VTB W-L tally. His scoring performance included a couple of dunks destined for the weekly Top 10. Anthony Gill also put up 18 points.
Alexey Shved notched a game-high 22 points despite only making 3/15 from the field. Timofey Mozgov, Sergey Karasev, Stefan Jovic, Dairis Bertans and Chris Kramer were among unavailable players.
Enisey dropped to 1-1 with its home defeat. Dustin Hogue posted 22 points to share the game-high with Shved, Tomislav Zubcic scored 16 points and Darius Morris 15.
