It seems that American forward Richard Howell will be the new addition for Maccabi Tel Aviv. The player wrote on Twitter that he joins the “Yellows” for the next two years, something which is now also confirmed by sources from Israel.
Howell spent the previous season in Winner League playing for Ironi Nahariya with which he averaged 15.6 points and 9.8 rebounds. He is expected to soon obtain an Israeli passport via his wife.
His major strengths include strong and quite physical inside game plus an exceptional efficiency in rebounding. It remains in question if he comes in the place of Quincy Miller (who will stay out of action for at least six months), since he lacks the latter’s offensive game, especially when it comes to exterior shooting.
