During the first 20 minutes, the game was open and Galatasaray was leading. However, Anadolu Efes kept the best for the second half, getting the 86-76 and introducing Brandon Paul to Euroleague with a bang.

The new US import of the team scored 19 points and also had 5 steals, Derrick Brown added 16 points, 7 rebounds and 3 steals, Thomas Heurtel had 14 points and 8 assists, while Bryant Dunston also had 12 points and 8 assists.

Still, defense was the key, with Galatasaray scoring 14 points in the third period and 18 in the fourth, during which a two points lead (60-58) for Efes ended up being a comfortable victory.

Blake Schilb tried his best with 21 points, Alex Tyus added 15, but they didn’t have an answer to a 10-0 run than made the score 74-64 in favor of the guests with six minutes left and decided the outcome. During this run, coach Ergin Ataman was ejected and Galatasaray could not react after that.
