According to Eurohoops sources, the Brooklyn Nets have included Canadian center Khem Birch in their transfer list for quite some time and are now seriously considering the possibility of offering a two-year contract to acquire him as a complementary addition to their frontcourt ahead of the upcoming season.

Birch has a buyout option near $300.000 in the two-year contract he signed with Olympiacos last summer. The Reds also have the option to keep him in the upcoming season or release him after paying him a small compensation.

The 24-year-old player was signed by the Greek club after an impressive season with Usak Sportif in Turkey. He averaged 7.3 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.0 block per game in 18:06 minutes per game in his debut EuroLeague season with Olympiacos, reaching the competition’s Final. In the title game against Fenerbahce, he scored 14 points (4/4 2-pointers, 6/8 from the line) in 17 minutes.
