Besiktas signed Pooh Jeter on a contract for the remainder of the season as the player’s agent announced on Twitter. It will be his first stint in the Turkish League.

Jeter, 33, joins Besiktas after finishing the season in China with Tianjin Gold Lions. He’s a veteran of European courts having played for Unicaja Malaga, Hapoel Jerusalem, Joventut Badalona and Limoges.

In 2015 he led the latter to the French League title during his last stint in Europe prior to signing with Besiktas. The Turkish team is currently ranked third in BSL standings and was looking for a player with Jeter’s characteristics for some time.

A point guard with affinity for both scoring and facilitating, Jeter was also a naturalized player for Ukraine in the 2013 Eurobasket.
