The disastrous game and subsequent defeat by Crvena Zvezda are bringing radical changes in Maccabi Tel Aviv with the imminent firing of head coach Rami Hadar.

It was not the first time during the past weeks that Maccabi has been under-performing but it appears that the match in Belgrade was the last straw. The management of the Israeli club has decided that they cannot continue with Rami Hadar at the helm and will proceed to the second change in the head coach position during the season.

The “Yellows” are currently standing at a 5-7 record in EuroLeague and their blowout defeat by Red Star in Belgrade was their third consecutive loss in the competition. After beating Olympiacos in Piraeus they lost two games in a row at home by Anadolu Efes and Brose Bamberg, getting easily defeated by the latter.

What is more, few days ago Maccabi got beaten by Gilboa Galil at home for the Israeli League, shortly after surviving a close call by Ironi Nahariya in overtime, also in “Menora Mivtachim” arena.

Hadar had been promoted to head coach on October after Maccabi sacked Erez Edelstein with whom it began the year.
