Pau Ribas, captain of Joventut Badalona, has announced he will retire from professional basketball at the end of the 2024–25 season, concluding a 20-year career.

Born in Badalona in 1987, Ribas rose through Penya’s youth system after joining the club at the age of four. He debuted with the senior team in 2005 and helped lead Joventut through its last golden era, winning the FIBA EuroCup (2006), Copa del Rey (2008), and ULEB Cup (2008).

Following stints with Baskonia (ACB champion, 2010), Valencia (EuroCup winner, 2014), and Barça (two Copas del Rey, a Supercopa MVP), Ribas returned to Joventut in 2020, guiding the team to back-to-back ACB semifinals in 2022 and 2023.

Internationally, he captured gold with Spain at EuroBasket 2015 and the 2019 FIBA World Cup. Ribas has played 359 official games for Joventut, with more still to come before his farewell.
