A left hip surgery places Gabriel Deck on the injury list of Real Madrid

Real Madrid provided an injury update on Gabriel Deck, noting a left hip surgery to address a labrum injury.

The 30-year-old Argentine forward has been sidelined indefinitely. Rehab is set to start in the next few days, as noted in the press release on Tuesday.

Over 28 appearances in the 2024-25 installment of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, the experienced forward averaged 8.0 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 0.5 steals, and 0.2 blocks per contest. A veteran of 182 appearances in Europe’s premier club competition, all with Madrid, was crowned champion in 2023, but this season fell alongside his teammates to Olympiacos in the Playoffs.

In the 2024-25 Regular Season of Spain’s Liga Endesa, Deck put up 8.0 points, 3.6 rebounds, 0.9 assists, 0.4 steals, and 0.2 blocks per contest over 19 appearances. The injury setback meets the start of the ACB Playoffs 2025.

The rest of the players, including Dzanan Musa, recovering from a right ankle injury, are expected to be available for head coach Chus Mateo at the top of a best-of-three series against Baskonia in the Quarterfinals. Game 1 is set to be played in Movistar Arena later on Tuesday.
