What a game! Real Madrid was on the verge of defeat, but Sergio Llull forced overtime, and Chus Mateo’s side defeated Valencia in the extra five minutes, securing a 102–96 home victory to take a 2–0 lead in the ACB Finals.
Andres Feliz stepped up in overtime, hitting crucial three-pointers to pave the way for Real Madrid‘s win.
However, it was Facundo Campazzo who stood out in the end, recording a double-double with 18 points and 11 assists. Feliz finished with 14 points and seven rebounds, while Mario Hezonja added 13 points.
Džanan Musa also scored in double figures with 12 points, while Alberto Abalde, Bruno Fernando, and Usman Garuba each added 10.
On the other side, Jean Montero had an excellent game with 23 points and eight assists. Matt Costello followed with 16 points, Xabi López-Arostegui added 14, and Nathan Reuvers scored 11.
Game 3 will be played at the Fonteta in Valencia next Wednesday at 9:15 p.m. It will be a must-win game for Valencia and the first opportunity for Real Madrid to clinch the title.
