Ratiopharm Ulm keeps stuning in German easycredit BBL. Anton Gavel’s side eliminated defending champions ALBA Berlin in the quarterfinals, and after a 88-93 win in Game 2 in Munich, they are on the brink of stopping Bayern in the semifinals.
Ulm is now leading 2-0, and will have two chances at home to book a place in the final, where they could meet Telekom Baskets Bonn or Riesen Ludwigsburg (Bonn leads 1-0).
This time Yago dos Santos led the way with 21 points and five assists, while his fellow countryman Bruno Caboclo added 17 with seven boards.
The experienced Brandon Paul followed with 14 points, while talented Spaniard Juan Nunez added 12, and Karim Jallow 10 points.
For Bayer, Andreas Obst exploded and scored 34 points with 8-14 shooting from beyond the arc. It wasn’t enough since only Isaac Bonga with 12, and Cassius Winston with 10 points followed him.
