One of the best shooters in the history of the sport, Peja Stojakovic, was honored by his old NBA team, the Sacramento Kings, who retired his jersey with number 16. A legend in two continents, Stojakovic became the fourth European player who has his jersey retired by an NBA team after the late great Drazen Petrovic of the Nets, Zydrunas Ilgauskas of the Cavs and Peja’s teammate, Vlade Divac, also by Sacramento.

His list of accomplishments is long as Peja was an NBA champion with the Dallas Mavericks (2011), a three times All-Star (2002–2004), a member of the All-NBA Second Team (2004), a two times NBA 3-Point Shootout champion (2002–2003), a Eurobasket MVP (2001), a Eurobasket champion (2001), a Mundobasket champion (2002), a Greek League MVP as a member of PAOK (1998) and the Euroleague top scorer (1998).
