The first foreign coach in Besiktas’ history will not be eventually Giorgos Bartzokas who turned down the offer, but Henrik Dettmann. The Finnish coach signed a contract until the summer of 2016.
Besiktas announced the deal for the next 1.5 seasons. Henrik Dettmann made his name as a national team coach, while he led Germany for six years (1997-2003) and Finalnd for 15 more (1992-1997 and 2004 until now). His last job as a coach was in France with Dijon.
