Franz Wagner and David Kramer scored 18 points apiece to lead Germany past Slovenia 103 – 89 in a preparation game for the 2025 EuroBasket that took place in Ljubljana in front of a sold-out crowd.

This was the first preparation game for both national teams ahead of the upcoming 2025 European Championship.

Lakers superstar Luka Doncic had 19 points, five assists, and three rebounds in 24 minutes for Slovenia in his first basketball game since April.

He sat out the fourth period with his team down 60 – 82 at the end of the third quarter, as the defending World Champions had things under control.

Doncic also had a tense moment in the game with former Laker Isaac Bonga who played for Germany.

Germany was missing Dennis Schroder, Daniel Theis, and Maodo Lo, who are all key members of the team.

The two sides will face each other in a rematch in Manheim, Germany Sunday (10/8).
