Slovenia superstar Luka Doncic had a scary moment during the preparation game of his national team against Latvia ahead of the EuroBasket but the injury he suffered is apparently of no big concern.
According to Marc Stein, Doncic suffered a non-serious right knee contusion. Multiple reporters have mentioned that the player’s participation in the EuroBasket is not at risk.
Doncic was hurt early in the second half when teammate Gregor Hrovat landed on his knee. The Los Angeles Lakers player was visibly in pain but walked off the court and went to the locker room without any help, before returning to the bench for the rest of the match.
“I can’t talk about the situation at this moment. When we know more, we will inform the public about it,” said Slovenia coach Aleksander Sekulić after the game.
