Despite missing Pero Antic, FYROM got the win on Sunday against Bosnia. Serbia which also has its absences beat Turkey in Istanbul, while Greece, Poland and Croatia also got a positive result against Germany, Sweden and Belgium

Can last Eurobasket’s underdogs return with a vengeance? FYROM proved to be in great shape once more by beating Bosnia 93-84 despite missing Atlanta’s Pero Antic. The former Olympiacos player got some rest and 33 years old forward Gjorgji Chekovski scored 33 points against 21 by Nets‘ Mirza Teletovic. In the first Sunday game of the preparation tournament for the upcoming Eurobasket in Ulm, Germany, Greece after two straight defeats exploded against the hosts (78-62) with Vasilis Spanoulis scoring 19 points.

In Istanbul, the duo of centers Nenad Krstic (17 p.) and Rasko Katic (14 p.) led Serbia to victory against Turkey (78-72) as Houston’s Omer Asik and Semih Erden were exposed by their opponents (photo). In the first game for the last day of the same tournament Croatia naturally beat Belgium 77-55. In the last Sunday game, Poland got a good home win over Sweden (73-57) with Matiej Lampe scoring 17 points.
