A veteran of 20 games with Paris in the 2022-23 season, 24-year-old Ismael Kamagate joined Besiktas Gain for the 2025-26 edition of the BKT EuroCup.
Confirming an earlier report, the Istanbul-based club announced the deal with the French center on Friday.
The powerful rim protector spent the majority of the last two seasons with Bertram Derthona Tortona in the Basketball Champions League and Italy’s LBA UnipolSai. The loan assignment lasted until the end of his contract with EA7 Emporio Armani Milan, making him a free agent this summer.
In the 2022 NBA draft, Kamagate was selected by the Detroit Pistons with the 46th overall pick. His rights have since been traded to the Portland Trail Blazers, Denver Nuggets, and, most recently, to the Los Angeles Clippers.
Besiktas GAIN is finalizing 1 year deal with French big man İsmaël Kamagate. Deal will be official soon.

Also on Friday, Besiktas added 30-year-old Brynton Lemar. An experienced combo guard with a European career stretching back to 2017, since coming out of UC Davis, introduced himself to the EuroCup last season, tallying 14.4 points per contest over 14 appearances with Cedevita Olimpija.
Completing the 2025-26 roster on Wednesday, JL Bourg signed 24-year-old Tre Mitchell. In the second year of his professional career, following his rookie season with Basketball Lowen Braunschweig, the native of Pittsburgh, a former NCAA player with Kentucky, West Virginia, Texas, and Massachusetts, will debut in European club continental competitions, besides moving from Germany to France.
Returning to the league after nine games with Darussafaka in the 2017-18 season, 30-year-old Emircan Kosut joined Turk Telekom on Thursday.
Also, 19-year-old Theo Airhienbuwa penned a multi-year contract with Dolomiti Energia Trento.
