Johnathan Williams III inked a one-year contract with the London Lions, the team announced on Saturday. The 30-year-old forward/center resurfaced in the BKT EuroCup following 24 games between Dolomiti Energia Trento in the 2021-22 campaign and Maccabi Rishon LeZion in the 2019-20 campaign. Since leaving Trento, he has played in Japan over the last three years. Earlier in his career, the former Gonzaga and Missouri standout logged 30 NBA appearances with the Los Angeles Lakers and Washington Wizards.
Also, Trento announced a one-year deal with 30-year-old Peyton Aldridge. The former Davidson standout is returning to the second tier of Euroleague Basketball after playing ten games with Bahcesehir Koleji in the 2020-21 season. Over the next four years, he stayed in Turkiye suiting up for Aliaga Petkimspor, with his spell including 18 Basketball Champions League fixtures.
The British and Italian clubs have been drawn in Group B of the 2025-26 Regular Season.
Major moves for Slask and Aris
In Group A, 25-year-old Issuf Sanon penned a one-year contract with Slask Wroclaw, as announced on Sunday. Another player bouncing back in EuroCup, the Ukrainian combo guard carries the experience of 37 appearances with Prometey from 2022 to 2024. In the 2024-25 journey, he played for VEF Riga and featured in five BCL games. Back in 2018, the Donetsk native was the 44th pick of the annual NBA draft.
Also entering Group A, 23-year-old Giorgos Tanoulis moved to Aris. The veteran of 23 EuroCup appearances with Promitheas from 2021 to 2023 will be on a one-year loan assignment from Olympiacos.
The Regular Season starts on September 30.
