Aris is entering a new era by reaching a definitive agreement with Vasilis Spanoulis to take over as the club’s new head coach for the next three seasons, as it was officially announced. This monumental signing sets the stage for what fans hope will be the most brilliant team chapter in over two decades.
The selector of the senior national team of Greece became available after a sudden departure from AS Monaco during the 2025–26 season, which was triggered by the Principality club’s sudden financial instability.
Seizing a historic opportunity, the front office of the Thessaloniki outfit moved swiftly to secure his tactical mastery and leadership.
To back his vision, the club is arming Spanoulis with a massive €10 million player budget, while providing him a salary of €1 million, solidifying their intent to challenge at the absolute highest levels of the sport.
As a player, Kill Bill dominated European basketball, guiding Panathinaikos and Olympiacos to three EuroLeague crowns while earning three Final Four Most Valuable Player awards.
