A rough stretch for Panathinaikos OPAP approaching its end

By Johnny Askounis/ info@eurohoops.net

The latest batch of coronavirus tests enabled Panathinaikos OPAP to plan to resume practices in the upcoming days. All team members, except those previously found positive, tested negative for coronavirus.

The 11 team members, including several players, will rejoin the training sessions upon receiving clearance, according to safety protocols implemented by the Greek health authorities. The rest of the squad would practice individually today, Tuesday, but extreme weather conditions in Athens prevented players and coaches from moving to OAKA. Barring more snow in Greece’s capital, that will happen tomorrow.

The Greens have been held out of their daily routine since the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season Round 24 win versus Olympiacos on February 5. Following EuroLeague games versus Zenit Saint-Petersburg and CSKA Moscow in Russia were postponed.
