Panathinaikos has a new coach in Dimitris Priftis, but two familiar names appeared again on the radar of the Greens. Priftis gave the green light for the team to approach again Kendrick Perry and the talks with Ioannis Papapetrou are gaining momentum.

Perry was also on Panathinaikoswish list before the Greek League playoffs, but he stayed with Cedevita-Olimpia. Now with Perry being a free agent, Panathinaikos is free to lure him to Greece for next season. Still, at this point, the talks have just started and any outcome might be possible.

As for Papapetrou, the captain of Panathinaikos was named today MVP of the Greek League, and it goes without saying that the team wants to keep him. However, Papapetrou remains one of the most coveted EuroLeague free agents.

Zenit St. Petersburg which was one of the first teams that targeted the Greek forward has changed its plans after making other transfer moves, but it’s not a secret that both EuroLeague champions Anadolu Efes and Real Madrid are more than interested in the player.
