Anadolu Efes completed the sweep against Zalgiris in Kaunas and with an 85-71 victory they managed to bounce back from two consecutive defeats and improve to 15-14.

Efes was in control from the beginning of the game and retained a double-digit lead that reached the 20-point mark in the second half to secure the victory, despite a comeback effort by the hosts in the final period.

Vasilije Micic led four more scorers of the Turkish side in double-digits with 20 points and 7 assists.

Rodrigue Beaubois followed with 15 points, Tibor Pleiss added 12, Bryant Dunston had 11 points, 6 rebounds and 3 steals and Shane Larkin tapped 10 points along with 8 assists.

“This is a very important victory for us after two losses last week on the road. This road victory will help us with our position in the standings for the playoffs. Now we have four games at home starting next week”, said Efes playcaller Ergin Ataman after the game. The reigning champions face Real Madrid, Olimpia Milano, Bayern and ALBA at home for their last four of five games in the regular-season.

Zalgiris suffered its second consecutive defeat after losing to Olympiacos on Tuesday for their Round 19 rescheduled game and now drops to 7-22.

Tyler Cavanaugh led the hosts with a season-high performance of 22 points and 7 rebounds, Arturas Milaknis dropped 13 points and Josh Nebo added 12 along with 8 rebounds.
