AS Monaco announced Donta Hall inked a three-year contract extension on Monday. Eurohoops had reported on the deal between the two sides in early June.

After re-signing star player Mike James and head coach Sasha Obradovic, La Roca Team retained Hall as well. Elie Okobo, Jordan Loyd, and John Brown III are the three new additions confirmed so far in the offseason. Building up an even stronger squad is definitely the case.

Hall, 24, rushed to prove himself as ‘Donta Air’ displaying his athletic moves since opting to join Monaco last August. He quickly became a fan favorite at Salle Gaston Medecin. Committing to three additional seasons will further improve his popularity.

Besides the Monaco fans, he introduced himself to the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague in 2021-22. Logging 8.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.1 blocks, 0.6 steals, and 0.3 assists per game painted the statistical picture of his debut campaign. His side clinched a berth in the Playoffs and went the distance opposite Olympiacos but narrowly missed the Final Four surrendering in the do-or-die Game 5.

Coming off 25 games played in the NBA and multiple G League campaigns, Hall went for 8.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, 0.8 assists, 0.7 blocks, and 0.5 steals per game over 24 appearances in France’s Betclic Elite LNB Pro A. On the wrong end of the thrilling championship best-of-five series, Monaco settled as the runner-up behind LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne.

Before opting to move his talents to Europe, the former Alabama standout played for the Detroit Pistons, Brooklyn Nets, Orlando Magic, Grand Rapids Drive, G League Ignite, and Raptors 905.
