Athens hosted the event in 2007, with Panathinaikos conquering a fourth out of seven current titles. Besides the Greek capital and OAKA, the Peace and Friendship Stadium, SEF, in Piraeus in 1993 and Thessaloniki’s PAOK Sports Arena in 2000 were previous hosts in the Balkan country.
Valencia would be a first-time host and set the Final Four in Spain for the tenth time, following three installments in Madrid and Barcelona, two in Zaragoza, and one in Vitoria-Gasteiz.
