Barcelona have announced that Justin Anderson will not return for the 2025–26 season.  The former NBA player departs the Catalan giants after just one season in Blaugrana colors.

Justin Anderson will not continue with FC Barcelona in the 2025/26 season, as his contract expires on June 30. The Club thanks him for his commitment to Barça and wishes him the best of luck in the future,” Barcelona said in an official announcement.

The American forward could continue his career in Dubai, as the UAE-based team has reportedly made a strong bid to sign him, according to Chema de Lucas.

Anderson joined Barça in the summer of 2024 after stints with Breogán and Valencia in the Spanish Liga Endesa.

In his lone season with the Catalan powerhouse, he appeared in 75 games across five competitions — 33 in Liga Endesa, 37 in the EuroLeague, and one each in the Copa del Rey, Supercopa, and Lliga Catalana — wearing jersey number 1.

The former Dallas Mavericks, Philadelphia 76ers, Atlanta Hawks, Brooklyn Nets, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Indiana Pacers swingman averaged 7.1 points and 2.8 rebounds in the EuroLeague, and 8.3 points with 2.6 rebounds in ACB play.
