After a one-year deal with him, finally returning to Spain, Serge Ibaka will not continue his career with Real Madrid.
The player has signed for one season with the Spanish champions; however, there’s no desire from the club to extend a new offer.
Per the press release: “Real Madrid CF announces that our basketball player Serge Ibaka has concluded his tenure with the club, where he was crowned league champion for the 2024-2025 season.
Real Madrid would like to express its gratitude and affection for the time he has worn our jersey and wishes him and his family all the best in this new stage of his life”.
The 35-year-old Ibaka, who played for Real Madrid also back in 2011 during the lockout, spent most of his career in the NBA, winning the championship title with Toronto in 2019.
Also, Real Madrid officially confirmed that Eli John Ndiaye is leaving the club after being drafted by Atlanta.
