The latest impressive signing for EuroLeague upstart Dubai is 30-year-old Aleksa Avramovic

Confirming a previous Eurohoops report, Dubai officially welcomed Aleksa Avramovic on Wednesday.

The 30-year-old Serbian combo guard signed a three-year contract to join the new EuroLeague team.

Avramovic returns to Europe’s premier club continental competition following 47 appearances with Partizan Mozzart Bet. Last season, he played for CSKA in the VTB United League, tallying 12.2 points, 3.4 assists, 2.8 rebounds, 1.3 steals, and 0.2 blocks per game over 59 appearances, including 24 starts in a championship run.

Before the teams based in Belgrade and Moscow, his career went from a senior debut with Borac Cacak to Italy as a member of Openjobmetis Varese from 2016 to 2019, and Spain with Unicaja and Movistar Estudiantes from 2019 to 2021.

A successful international career with Serbia is highlighted with a bronze medal in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, following silver in the FIBA World Cup 2023. A regular with the senior national team of his country over recent years, he has also suited up in the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament 2021 in Belgrade, the Qualifiers of the FIBA World Cup 2019 and 2023, and the Qualifiers of the EuroBasket 2022 and 2025.

The upcoming challenge in Dubai, he is set to join forces with fellow newcomer Dzanan Musa, and returning players Awuda Abass, Danilo Andjusic, Davis Bertans, Nemanja Dangubic, and Klemen Prepelic. More players are expected to be added to the team coached by Jurica Golemac, before starting the 2025-26 installments of the EuroLeague and AdmiralBet ABA League.
