Tyler Ennis inked a two-year contract to join Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv in the EuroLeague.

“I am very excited to return to Hapoel Tel Aviv and take part in the club’s historic journey in the EuroLeague,” said the 30-year-old point guard, “Hapoel is a special club. Last time I finished with the words. ‘Until next time’ on social media. And I meant it. Looking forward to meeting the fans again. Yalla Hapoel!”

His first spell with the Israeli club was at the bottom end of the 2023-24 season. After his departure, he played for Umana Reyer Venice in the BKT EuroCup and Italy’s LBA UnipolSai over the 2024-25 journey, averaging 13.8 points, 4.9 assists, 2.8 rebounds, and 0.4 steals per contest over 44 appearances between the continental and domestic leagues.

The next assignment consists of bouncing back in the EuroLeague with the team coached by Dimitris Itoudis. Limited to three games in the 2018-19 edition of Europe’s premier club continental competition, the first spell with Fenerbahce Beko was cut short due to a serious ankle injury.

Earlier in his career, the native of Toronto was featured in 187 NBA games, after being selected by the Phoenix Suns with the 18th overall pick of the 2014 NBA draft, coming out of Syracuse. He was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks during his rookie season, and went on to also suit up with the Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Lakers before focusing mainly on overseas options.
